SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:
Frequently Asked Questions
about Individual (Nonmember) Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

When you complete the subscription process, you will receive a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.

  3. Why should I get an individual (nonmember) subscription?

individual (nonmember) subscribers have access to:
Tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, and the advantage of having password access to NeoReviews from any computer connected to the Internet.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

If your institution has a subscription to NeoReviews, which is an electronic journal, you automatically will have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  5. Is a print version of NeoReviews available?

No, not anymore. In 1999 and 2000, both print and electronic versions of NeoReviews were published. Since 2001, however, the online version has become the journal of record, and the print version no longer is published.

  6. Who is eligible for an Individual (Nonmember) and a Member Subscription?

Individual (Nonmember) subscriptions are available to individuals. American Academy of Pediatrics members are eligible for Member Subscriptions to NeoReviews at a discounted rate. Members and nonmembers also may have access to NeoReviews through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. Some special member services are not available to nonmember subscribers.

  7. How can I access if I am not an member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

You may wish to apply for membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (nonmember) subscription. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  8. How do I become a member of ?

Information about Membership and application forms are available from the American Academy of Pediatrics home page, http://www.aap.org.
